Rahu & Ketu: Understanding Your Karmic Nodes

Rahu and Ketu aren't planets in the way Mars or Jupiter are, they're mathematical points, the two places where the Moon's orbit crosses the Sun's apparent path, the exact locations where eclipses happen. In Vedic astrology, they are treated as full players in the chart, and they carry some of the most important information about your soul's direction: your Rahu, and its opposite point, Ketu.
Where most planets describe personality or circumstance, the nodes describe momentum. Rahu is where you're being pulled forward, often into unfamiliar, slightly uncomfortable territory. Ketu is what you're meant to release, the mastery, and the attachment, you're already carrying from somewhere deep, possibly from before this life.

The nodes always sit exactly opposite each other in the chart, which is the whole point: you're not meant to abandon Ketu's gifts entirely, or chase Rahu blindly. The real work of a life is learning to bring Ketu's quiet mastery in service of Rahu's growth, using what you already know how to do in pursuit of what still scares you a little.
